Why won’t Halo 3 play in my Xbox 360?????????
Ok my b/f just bought an Xbox 360 (the standard console the white one,NOt the 360 arcade or black super geeked out one) He went to blockbuster and rented Halo 3 he puts it in right and the game system says “this game must be played on an xbox 360 console” so he thinks its just the game so he goes back to blckbuster and gets a new Halo 3 CD and its saying the same thing WHAT IS GOING ON!!!

Did he buy it from a store or used from someone else? That someone else may have modified or damaged the console. If he got it from a store, has he tried any other games? If he has and they work, then I’m at a loss… possibly try to connect the Xbox to the net and update the firmware.
Edit: Try cleaning the lens of the console with a lens cleaner disc (because a dirty lens will cause that error… although it should do it with more then just one game), or try plugging it into the internet and updating it.
