Why am I not getting 1080p out of my xbox and 3D blu ray player?
Just bought a Samsung 8000 series 55 inch 3d tv and bought Some hdmi cables to connect it all together. But when I check the output I’m getting 1080i and 60hz. When I should be getting 1080p and 240hz refresh rates. Is it my cables or the TVs settings?

Maybe your TV is a 1080i TV! Otherwise if your xbox is saying that there should be a option to choose which setting to be displayed! Like 1080p or 720p. In your case it would be 1080p or 1080i whichever your TV is! Same goes with the blu-ray player there will be a setting to set the picture.. it should be set to what your TV is. So basically you’re still getting high definition either way just a different form of it!
