how do i play fable 3 with another xbox LIVE player?
i’ve run all over the sanctuary and can’t find a “join another xbox LIVE” type thing anywhere. i’ve never played xbox with any live player yet, but i have the xbox live subscription, so i’m ready to go, i just don’t know how to do it.
There are several ways to join a game.
1. Go to the sanctuary, go to the room on the right, enter the shining portal at the back of the room (centre), press A. This will spawn you into a random game but often doesn’t work due to network difficulties.
2. Go to the sanctuary, go to the room on the right, click on the orb visibility board on the back wall and make it visible to everyone. This allows you to see everyone who is online in the fable world. If you exit the sanctuary and wait a few minutes the orbs will appear. Go up to one of these orbs (representing a single player in their world) and click A to interact. You can request to join the game from here. This way is easier because there aren’t as many network issues, and it doesn’t quit you out of the game if you can’t join.
3. Finally if it is a friend you want to join, open up the guide button (middle of controller), go down to friends, click on the friend you wish to join, click join session in progress.
4. If you are still having problems joining make sure the DLC (downloadable content) matches. There are several free items (currently free weapons and free yule hat) that most players have downloaded, without downloading these first you won’t be able to join players who have them.
